Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Build relationships with clients

Active 911 (A911) is a leading innovator in creating technologies to help first responders save lives by getting to emergencies faster. Using a SaaS-based rapidly iterating subscription service, A911 provides location and incident details related from Computer Aided Dispatch Systems (CADS), to assist fire, rescue, police, and other first-responder/medical professionals to get to the scene of emergencies faster and with more accurate information on the scope of the incident. Active 911 was created by a firefighter with a vision to actively alert responding emergency personnel. Today, Active911 serves over 12,000 agencies with over 400,000 individual users.
About the Position
Active 911 is currently seeking a Territory Manager (TM) to handle inbound sales leads, and proactively prospect for new clients, who can become an integral part of a new sales team at an exciting time in our organization’s growth to drive revenue opportunities within our emergency alert ecosystem. The goal is to convert qualified prospects into subscribers. The TM will be accountable for converting inbound customer service leads and prospecting lead lists as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Sales. We are seeking a passionate hunter committed to whatever it takes to initiate sales growth and profitability by leveraging their consultative sales skills to provide a vital service which will result in faster EMS response and ultimately save lives. The TM responds to the Director of Marketing and Sales and will interact with the existing Marketing and Customer Service teams. You will be expected to:

  • Master Active911 organizational training and sales playbook
  • Implement customer service inbound lead sales conversion program, as detailed in the sales playbook
  • Profile prospects in the target demographics and industry groups, as directed by management
  • Continuously add prospects and perform updates to existing clients in the Customer Resource Management (CRM) system
  • Create and regularly update sales pipeline with potential prospects, estimated closing sales cycle, and projected MRR
  • Actively pursue each lead to expand the Active 911 client base
  • Actively participate in all sales team training events
  • Learn EMS product specifications and the solutions Active911 products solve
  • Exhibit superior customer service and facilitate product support throughout engagement
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete account conversion, payment processing, and customer service transition
  • Be online social advocate and actively participate in industry networking groups, to spread the Active911 footprint and be a brand evangelist
  • Track daily sales activities and review coaching recommendations throughout the sales process
  • Meet or exceed individual monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
  • Demonstrate and support a culture of accountability and integrity
  • Provide relevant and valuable market and competitive data to management
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and able to carry up to 50 pounds.

About You
  • High School Diploma/GED required, BA/BS or technical degree preferred OR Military, Fire Fighting, and Law Enforcement experience in lieu of a Degree
  • Occasional travel (less than 25%)
  • Three or more years of relevant inside sales experience (B2B)
  • Three or more years in quota bearing sales role
  • Experience converting inbound leads to conversion in a consultative sales process
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Driven to achieve goals, committed to do (ethically) whatever it takes to succeed
  • Professional phone demeanor and accountable
  • Exceptional “hunting” skills, with the ability to proactively profile and convert a high percentage of multi-touch contacts to closing
  • Tenacious, dedicated to finding hard to reach decision makers who are often adverse to change and new technology adoption and prone to long sales cycles
